Brian and I really enjoyed our getaway to Laguna last week! It started with the reception at Las Lagunas Gallery on 101 in Laguna. What a fun spot! It was a beautiful night, there was a rockin’ band and lots of people strolling the galleries for the Thursday night Art Walk.

After the reception we strolled the streets and ended up at a great spot for dinner, Three Seventy Common. Then we were off to our hotel the St Regis for a spa and golf day to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Being Starwood Preferred Guests we paid for it all with points!
The grounds are so beautiful I had a great time walking around and I spent some time in the Botanical garden drawing and painting. That night we had a fantastic dinner at the Salt Creek Grill close to our hotel. Housed in a huge Craftsman style bungalow, I had the Best Salmon ever! After dinner we saw The Grand Budapest Hotel, we both enjoyed it and thought it was a stunning visual treat.

Saturday we had a great breakfast at C’est La Vie, right on the water, another gorgeous day and clear and bright. Then we walked down to the beach from the hotel, about a 30 min walk, around the golf course, a beautiful hillside neighborhood, and then along the beach towards the Ritz Carlton.

All in all a great weekend trip to a beautiful seaside town!
