When Paintings are in the Process

Paintings are close to being presented for the month of May, and Cathy is really excited to show you her new ideas. As we’ve shown you, the process of a painting usually starts with some sketches, of a scene, then they are put on a canvas and then painted in! Escondido Municipal Contemporary Realism Show

If you haven’t attended the Escondido Municipal Gallery’s show of Contemporary Realism yet, you still have time! The show is there for viewing from May 13th till June 4th, 2016. Spring Art Studio Tour

This weekend the Art Studio Tour is back and we are ready with new paintings to present and another organization to benefit. We are very excited to see everyone stop by this Saturday and Sunday (April 30th and May 1st) from 10 am to 4pm, we are going to be displaying Cathy Carey’s handmade jewelry, paintings, and more! The San Diego County Fair!

It’s still to be foreseen if Cathy will be exhibiting in the Del Mar Fair Art Show, however we are still excited to support other artists and the Fair. Upcoming Studio Tour!

It’s that time of year again, where Cathy spends a majority of her time preparing for the Spring Studio Tour. Each time she does, she benefits an organization. This time she is supporting the Shelter to Soldier foundation. Sketches from Canadian Rockies

Excited to see some of Cathy’s Sketches and Watercolors? In August of 2015 she took a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Calgary. While she was traveling she sketched what she saw in a sketchbook and in another small sketchbook she watercolored various landscapes and water scenes.
