Artist Statement

I create vibrant oil paintings that celebrate joy, movement, and the emotional energy of color. Rooted in the expressive traditions of the Fauves and early California Impressionists, my work is brought to life through a personal lens shaped by the dramatic landscapes of the Southwest and the coastal beauty of Southern California.

Through bold color and dynamic gesture, I strive to evoke an emotional resonance—inviting viewers to experience harmony, optimism, and a deep connection to the natural world. Whether capturing rolling hills, desert flora, or spirited animals, I paint with an intuitive rhythm that values feeling over form and movement over realism.

My goal as an artist is to uplift and inspire. I want my paintings to feel like a visual embrace—immersive, alive, and full of heart.

Based in Oceanside, California, my work has been exhibited in Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico; Scottsdale and Tucson, Arizona; San Diego and Laguna Beach, California; and beyond. Collectors often describe my paintings as “joyful energy made visible” and “a source of mental resilience and joy in a challenging world.” I look forward to sharing this energy with a broader audience and contributing to the vibrant art community in Santa Fe.
