Art Reception in Elfin Forest Interpretive Center
Just one week after the devastating fires in and around the Elfin Forest and Harmony Grove, the Elfin Forest Interpretive Center Art ReceptionĀ is on! Luckily the area around the center is unharmed. Several of the people involved in the Escondido Creek Conservancy suffered terrible losses of homes and damaged gardens and property.
After such a loss its hard to imagine starting again, but the amazing positive spirit of the folks involved with the Sky Mountain Institute are already planning the rebuilding project.
The event tonight is inĀ support of and as a benefit to the non-profit Escondido Creek conservancy, who raise money for the Escondido Creek watershed habitatĀ and naturalĀ open spaces. Much of that area was affected by the recent Cocos fire. The show will run until August. Check the website for hours, show is manned by docent volunteers.
