I’m delighted to share a new artist film created in collaboration with filmmaker Judy Berberian—a project that beautifully captures the spirit of my studio practice and the heart behind my work. This film is an invitation into the place where color, intuition, and nature come together, offering a glimpse of how my paintings evolve from feeling and movement rather than a literal depiction of place.
In the video, Judy’s thoughtful eye follows my process as I work with drawing, gold underpainting, and layers of luminous oil paint. We talk about the Pollinator Garden series and how pollinators have become a guiding metaphor in my work—symbols of creativity, generosity, and the way ideas travel and flourish through connection. Much like a garden, painting is a living system: responsive, collaborative, and always in motion.
What I love most about this film is how it reflects the quiet moments of being in the studio—the pauses, the listening, and the joy of letting color lead. Painting, for me, is a way of honoring resilience and wonder in the natural world, and of creating spaces that invite viewers to slow down and reconnect. Judy captured that sense of reverence and play with great sensitivity, allowing the process to unfold naturally on screen.
I hope this video offers you a deeper understanding of my work and the values that guide it. Whether you are a collector, fellow artist, or simply curious, I invite you to watch the film and spend a few moments inside my creative world—where paintings truly dance with color and joy.
You can view the full film on my website and on my YouTube channel. I’d love to hear what resonates with you.
