A joyous summer day with the bright reds, tasty green grass fed by the summer monsoons and budding lavender shadows. 
I like this couple of horses, I first saw them on a drive up to Taos, standing in a meadow near the road. I made a fast stop to jump out and do a few quick sketches and take bunches of photos. I love seeing horses out in the wide open space of the southwest. They are a symbol of freedom and strength - the still wild spirit of west.
