On a visit to Catalina Island, I saw some island foxes, and was fascinated by them! They are smaller than typical foxes, due to the island environment over the years evolving their species to a smaller size. When I use vivid colors to paint a place, I am describing the way it made me feel, more than the way it actually looks.
