While traveling through the southwest delivering paintings in October of 2021, I spent some time out by the Taos gorge. Sunset is a magical time there looking across the mesa to Taos mountain. 
On this early evening the clouds were glowing a cotton candy pink and Taos mountain is solidly resonating with a deep blue and purple glow like a jewel lit from within. I feel the whole world holds still at this time of day, holding its breath in wonder at the pageant of beautiful clouds drifting home to heaven. 
I like the idea that the clouds look like flowers, slowly drifting across the sky, catching the last beautiful light of the sun.
