For the month of July at Gallery 104, I will be showing part of my new series on Agave’s – “Summer Scenes”. Paintings on display are: “End of the Centurry”, “Agave Azure”, “Agave Beach” and “Puerto Portals”. I will be in attendance on July 20 for the monthly reception from 6 – 9.
“Agave Azure”
Oil painting by Cathy Carey of “Agave Azure”
Oil 24″ x 36″ $1700 An impressive agave at the height of its power, standing tall and vibrating with life force against the glowing sun. For three years it served as a perch for hummingbirds, hawks, owls, sparrows, finches and crows. The tallest totem on the highest hill, overlooking lakes, valleys and mountains in the Southern California back country.
“Agave Beach” and “Puerto Portals”
Oil Painting by Cathy Carey “Agave Beach”
Oil painting by Cathy Carey of “Puerto Portals”
Oil, 24″ x 30″ $1500: A beautiful day at the beach. Sun shining on water, sky shining through lazy floating clouds, the tang of salt water drifting on the soft breezes. A place I like to go in my mind when I need a rejuvenation.
“End of the Century”
Oil painting by Cathy Carey of Agave “End of the Century”
Oil 30″ x 40″ $2400 This painting is about a beautiful agave in our yard that had stood for 3 years after it bloomed, and was about to fall over. In my painting I wanted to show the life force of this amazing plant releasing into the sky and across the universe.
